Help with Home Maintenance and Taxes:

Home Maintenance Program
General home maintenance help is available for Chester County residents age 50 and above, and are income eligible.  Sponsored by the Chester County Board of Commissioners.

Income Tax Return Assistance
Trained volunteers from AARP provide assistance in completing federal, state or local tax forms.  This free service is available February 1 through April 15 by appointment.

Property Tax and Rent Rebate
Rent and property tax relief for persons 65 and over, disabled individuals age 18 to 64. and widows and widowers age 50 to 64.  The income eligibility limit for homeowners is $35,000 and for Renters is $15,000. 

Weatherization Program
Available from PECO and the Department of Community Development.

Energy Assistance
Provides winter fuel assistance for low income families.  Eligibility is determined by income and number of members in the household.
Helping Hands
Housekeeping services are provided on a sliding scale fee basis in partnership with Kendal-Crosslands Communities.
